Nutty Chocolate Candy

This recipe comes from this post at Daily Bites. The only difference is that I used half the nuts her recipe calls for. It's very quick and easy, and is the perfect fix for my chocolate cravings...it sort of reminds me of peanut M&M's, just because of the crunchy nuts swallowed in chocolate :)

1/2 c. coconut oil, melted (3.7 oz)
1/3 c. coconut palm sugar (2 oz; or 2 T. agave nectar - 1.5oz.)
1/3 c. (1oz.) unsweetened cocoa powder
2 t. cinnamon
1/4 t. sea salt
2 T. coconut flour
1/4 c. chopped walnuts

In food processor, add coconut oil, coconut palm sugar, cocoa powder, cinnamon and salt. Pulse until thoroughly combined. Pour into a small mixing bowl.

Stir in coconut flour, combining thoroughly, ensuring there are no lumps. Pour the mixture into a loaf pan lined with plastic wrap. Sprinkle the nuts evenly over the top.

Freeze until firm, at least 30 minutes. Remove the chocolate slab from the pan, and cut or break into irregular shapes and sizes. Store pieces in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
